The Miami Invitational: Historic Night of Tennis Comes to LoanDepot Park

Miami is about to host a first-of-its-kind sporting event.

On December 8, 2025, the Miami Invitational will take center stage at loanDepot park, home of the Miami Marlins. For the first time in the venue’s history, the ballpark will be transformed into a professional tennis stage, bringing four of the sport’s brightest stars together for one unforgettable night.

A STAR-STUDDED SHOWDOWN IN SOUTH FLORIDA

The Miami Invitational will feature two marquee singles matches showcasing elite talent from both the ATP and WTA tours.

The evening opens with Amanda Anisimova facing Emma Raducanu, a matchup between a Grand Slam finalist and a US Open champion. The night continues with world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz taking on Brazilian rising star João Fonseca in what will be their first-ever meeting.

Each match will follow a best-of-three set format, with a 10-point tiebreaker used to decide a third set if needed, ensuring a fast-paced and competitive showcase for fans.

GLOBAL TALENT MEETS MIAMI ENERGY

The player lineup highlights both established champions and the next generation of stars shaping the future of tennis.

Carlos Alcaraz enters as the current world No. 1 and a six-time Grand Slam champion, continuing to define the modern era of the sport. João Fonseca, just 19 years old, has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting young players in the world and currently stands as Brazil’s top-ranked singles player.

On the women’s side, Amanda Anisimova returns to her hometown after reaching the finals of both Wimbledon and the US Open in 2025. She will face Emma Raducanu, whose 2021 US Open victory made history and established her as one of the sport’s most recognizable global figures.

“This event will be electric, and I’m excited to bring my best to Miami alongside three incredible stars of the game,” said Raducanu.

A VENUE-FIRST EXPERIENCE

Bringing tennis to loanDepot park represents a major milestone for both the sport and the city of Miami.

By converting a Major League Baseball stadium into a tennis venue, the Miami Invitational delivers a unique fan experience while reinforcing South Florida’s position as a destination for global sports and entertainment events.

“This first-ever event places South Florida at the center court of the global sports stage,” said Miami Marlins President Caroline O’Connor.
