A high-profile international showdown is coming to Southern California!
LA Galaxy will welcome Liga MX powerhouse Cruz Azul to Dignity Health Sports Park on Sunday, October 4, 2026, for an international friendly bringing together two of the most accomplished clubs from the United States and Mexico.
The six-time MLS Cup champion Galaxy will face a Cruz Azul side fresh off an impressive championship run. La Máquina captured the Liga MX Clausura 2026 title and the 2026 Campeón de Campeones, adding to a trophy case that includes 10 league championships and a record-tying seven Concacaf Champions Cup titles.
The matchup also brings some recent history. LA Galaxy and Cruz Azul met at Dignity Health Sports Park during the 2025 Leagues Cup, battling to a 1-1 draw before Cruz Azul advanced 8-7 in a dramatic penalty shootout. More than 24,000 fans were on hand that night, setting the stage for another exciting meeting between the two clubs this October.
